Sunday, March 2

Grand parade with music featuring walking groups starting at 3 PM in Fort-de-France, showcasing elaborate costumes and choreographies.

Monday, March 3

Burlesque Wedding Day, where gender roles are reversed in a festive and satirical atmosphere.

Tuesday, March 4

Parade of the Red Devils, symbolizing mischievous spirits, with participants dressed in red and black roaming the streets.

Wednesday, March 5

Closing of the carnival with the symbolic burning of King Vaval, marking the end of the festivities and the beginning of Lent.

Carnival Across Martinique

The major festivities of the Martinique Carnival 2025 will take place in Fort-de-France, but other towns across the island will also celebrate in style.

For instance, in Les Anses d’Arlet, the streets will come alive on Fat Sunday, Mardi Gras, and Ash Wednesday.

On Sunday, February 16, Sainte-Anne will host a parade featuring around twenty groups.

Additionally, the South Parade will take place in Ducos on Monday, March 3, with a grand procession through the town’s streets.

The celebrations will continue until Wednesday, March 5, marked by the “Ti Chawa” tradition in Sainte-Luce, now in its third edition. A live band on a float will liven up the town center, bringing this carnival to a spectacular close.
